Walk-On Play vs. Private Play

If you’re planning a group outing, like a birthday party or bachelor party, you might wonder which option is best for your group. Walk-on play vs. private play. Read on to learn more about the advantages offered by each.

Private Play

Private play is a great choice for groups celebrating events such as a birthday party or a bachelor party. As a private game, your group will play paintball only among themselves.

Another advantage of private play is you can play the game at your own pace. This is helpful for players who are new to paintball, like a youth birthday party.

Private play parties are also assigned their own Splatball staff member as a party host. Your host will welcome you to our paintball facility and help you get checked in. They’ll take you through a new player orientation and safety briefing.  The orientation covers the basic rules of paintball. It also covers how to operate the paintball equipment.

When it’s time to play, your party host will take you onto the field and explain the game to you.  They’ll start the game and function as your referee while the game is played.

Walk-on Play

Walk-on play is a great option for smaller groups and groups who are interested in playing with other players. We separate our rental players from gun owners, so you don’t have to worry about being mixed with more experienced players. Instead you’ll be playing with other rental players. It’s just one of the ways we work to make sure you will have the best time playing paintball at any of our paintball facilities in Minnesota.

Walk-on play sessions are held throughout the week and hours can be found on our hours page. Reservations are not required to join walk-on play, but you can reserve space if you’d like.
